The year 2018 has been a busy one in the building materials industry. New home builds and home additions were at an all-time high, causing contractors everywhere to be in high demand. It was the ideal time for Genesee Lumber to expand their custom millwork and installed sales division. “Our customers had a need - and we really wanted to help them out”, said Curt Capper of Genesee Lumber.
Curt has been with Genesee Lumber for 2 years, but is a veteran in the industry. A 3rd generation woodworker, Curt has been in the custom woodworking field for over 25 years. His work is featured in several cities around the country, including Naples, FL, Nantucket, MA, NYC, Long Island and Boston, MA.
Curt joined forces with Dereck Ells, a 10 year Genesee Lumber veteran. Although installed sales has been a part of Dereck’s job since his hire in 2008, this year we were really able to capitalize on his skill set. With over 20 years in the industry, Dereck is a true asset to Genesee Lumber as the company continues to grow and evolve.
